When can I remove my aligners?

You shouldn’t wear your aligners while you eat, so don’t forget to take them out before meals or before drinking anything (you can wear them while drinking water, though). Make sure to clean your aligners every day (our dentists can show you how) and you’ll also want to remove your aligners so that you can brush and floss your teeth.

It’s important to visit our dental team every so often so that we can see how your treatment is progressing and to make sure that you are keeping your teeth and gums clean throughout the process. Most patients will come into our office every 4-6 weeks for quick checkups.
What is the average length of treatment with Invisalign?
While treatment lengths vary from person to person, most adults who get Invisalign achieve results in about one year. For teens, the length of treatment is around 18-24 months (similar to traditional braces). Of course, some patients dealing with more minor issues may see results in a shorter span of time.
