Here are the steps involved in getting Invisalign,

- If you are an ideal candidate for Invisalign and you want to undergo this treatment then we will take quick digital scans of your teeth to help us map out your customized treatment plan using special computer software.
- Next, your treatment plan will be sent to a dental lab, where they will custom-make each aligner that will gradually guide your teeth into the proper position throughout the course of your treatment. The number of aligners you will need to wear will depend on the severity of the dental problems you are looking to treat.
How does Invisalign work?
Instead of using brackets and wires, as traditional braces do, Invisalign uses a series of transparent aligners made from a flexible thermoplastic that is made just to fit your teeth and your circumstances. They look like whitening trays and fit over your teeth in the same manner; however, certain areas of the aligners apply the right amount of pressure needed to move teeth around.
You will wear each aligner for about two weeks before replacing them with the new set in your treatment plan. About every 4-6 weeks you will come in to the office to make sure that your treatment is going according to plan. For most adults, Invisalign treatment takes about one year.
